Prepping your land for a fence is very important due to the fact
it reflects on the appearance and effectiveness of your fence. Once your fence
is erected, it is very difficult to work the terrain around it. Pipe, culverts,
or horns should be placed in small creeks and water drainage areas to avoid wash
outs under the fence.
When clearing your fence line, remove all dead trees and/or tree limbs that
could fall and damage your fence. Dips and hills should be floated to avoid
extra strain and pressure on your fence. Areas where gates are needed should be
leveled in all directions for the width of the gate to allow clearance for
opening.
